I lived in Somerby for a short time in the 70's and have very fond memories. Our son went to the local shcool, Saturday night dances at the village hall and of course the occasional pint at the top pub (nearest the church). I love your web site and will visit often.

It was wonderful to hear from you. I do apologize about the delay but with the golf course opening up and a busy wedding season so far I have not had the opportunity to return your email.

Our community is named Somerby. The property was put together with a very English theme from the golf course designed by John fought and Tom Lehman to an English style clubhouse with dark rich wood and English themes. When the owners were building the project they really liked the name Somerby and that is how it came to be.

We have since inception tried to gather whatever information we could about Somerby. We are very interested in its history so we can talk about it to our membership and their guests.

I hope that we can continue to have correspondence in the future.
